New publication showcases emerging practices in operationalizing food systems transformation pathways

The UN Food Systems Coordination Hub, in collaboration with FAO’s Agrifood Systems and Food Safety Division and with support from the European Union, has released a new publication: Implementing National Food Systems Pathways: Emerging Practices. Developed under the EU-funded project Accelerating Food Systems Transformation through a Scalable Success Model, the document captures good practices from more than 20 countries in operationalizing their national pathways, informed by National Voluntary Progress Reports, national dialogues, and insights from National Convenors. It offers practical guidance for peer-to-peer learning and identifies successful approaches that can be adapted to different contexts. The publication reflects the collective work of the Task Force for Successful National Food Systems Pathways Implementation, bringing together FAO, IFAD, WFP, GAIN, the Agroecology Coalition, HDP Nexus Coalition and others, alongside active contributions from eight project countries: Cameroon, Dominican Republic, Fiji, Kiribati, Madagascar, Mauritania, Sierra Leone, and Zambia.
