Member State Dialogue Convenors and Pathways

United Nations (UN) Member States have been invited by the UN Deputy Secretary-General to nominate a high-level individual from within the Government to convene a series of Member State Dialogues as part of the Food Systems Summit process. Member State Dialogue Convenors are responsible for organizing the Food Systems Summit Dialogues programme in their country. If you are interested in engaging with a Member State Dialogue programme, you are invited to reach out to National Convenors via their respective official government channels. 

Outcomes of the Dialogues are intended to inform the articulation of national pathways to sustainable food systems. These pathways can serve as points of reference across government and for all stakeholders in coming years. The route to achieving each nation’s food systems vision are then presented as a pathway document which focuses particularly on those sections of society who have the least resources and influence, and tend to be hardest to reach.  

This page is dedicated to sharing the list of nominated National Convenors, related Ministerial statements from the Pre-Summit, as well as pathway documents, where available, to support the Summit’s preparatory processes and workstreams on emerging trends, patterns, and potential areas for coalition building. It is expected that pathways are living documents that will continue to be shaped in the lead up to and beyond the Summit. Unless stated on the document itself, it should not be assumed that these pathway documents are final or endorsed by the respective government.
