Session Overview
The 2025 edition of The State of Food Security and Nutrition in the World Report will, as in previous years, provide the latest updates on the food security and nutrition situation around the world, including new estimates on the cost and affordability of healthy diets. The report will also delve into the challenges that rising food prices present for achieving Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 2.1 and 2.2 targets — namely, ending hunger, food insecurity, and all forms of malnutrition by 2030. It will examine the underlying drivers of recent food inflation, assess its impact on food security and nutrition outcomes, and outline policy responses required to mitigate and prevent its adverse effects.
