Session Overview
Four years after the 2021 UN Food Systems Summit, the 2025 Stocktake (UNFSS+4) represents a crucial moment to assess progress, renew political commitment, and accelerate food systems transformation. The Ministerial Roundtable on ‘Navigating transitions’ will bring together national leaders and global partners to highlight the current hidden costs of food systems, and exchange experiences and progress towards achieving inclusive, resilient, healthy, and sustainable food systems. Speakers will address the importance of coherent policies, informed by evidence and aligned towards the achievement of outcomes across economic, social, environmental, nutrition and health, equity and other priorities. The discussion will identify key barriers and enablers of systemic transitions from country experience and explore ways in which the global community can foster this change. The objective is to highlight the role of data, evidence, policies, innovation, and collaboration to deliver on the right to adequate food for all, while supporting national development objectives.
