Forests and Food Systems Coalition

The coalition aims to bring together producer and consumer countries, companies and civil society organisations to deliver sustainable supply chains from a food systems perspective. As an informal grouping, the action coalition is built on principles of collaboration and holistic thinking and is committed to tackling key issues and questions around how agricultural value chains can be climate smart, protect the ecosystem, boost biodiversity, support livelihoods and improve nutrition.

The following countries were engaged with the cluster as part of the pre-summit and/or summit dialogue process: Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, European Union (EU), France, Germany, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Japan, Liberia, Malaysia, Netherlands (Kingdom of the), New Zealand, Norway, Spain, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, United States of America. Since landing as an UNFSS outcome, the following governments have written to express interest in the cluster and have asked for more information on objectives, plans for follow up and/or growth of the cluster: Belgium, El Salvador, Republic of Korea, Thailand
