As 2026 marks the International Year of the Woman Farmer (IYWF), this webinar will spotlight the indispensable role women play across food systems, as producers, processors, entrepreneurs, and community leaders. Despite their central contributions, women farmers continue to face systemic barriers related to land rights, access to finance, inputs, markets, and decision-making spaces. This webinar will elevate women farmers’ voices and examine gender-responsive approaches that unlock productivity, resilience, and nutrition outcomes. It will highlight the contributions and leadership of women farmers in transforming food systems, identify structural barriers and enabling policies for gender equality in agriculture and discuss scalable solutions and partnerships that empower women across food value chains.
