Save the Date: Second United Nations Food Systems Summit Stocktake (UNFSS+4)
27–29 July 2025
Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
We are pleased to announce that the Second United Nations Food Systems Summit Stocktake (UNFSS+4) will take place from 27 to 29 July 2025 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, co-hosted by the Governments of Ethiopia and Italy.
Building on the progress of the 2021 UN Food Systems Summit and the first Stocktaking Moment in 2023 (UNFSS+2), this second global Stocktake presents a critical opportunity to reaffirm commitments, share lessons learned, and assess our collective progress in the journey toward transforming food systems.
This pivotal three-day event will open with Action Day on 27 July—a dynamic and engaging launch designed to catalyze energy, foster collaboration, and accelerate partnerships across the food systems community. Action Day will feature a rich programme of side events, vibrant networking opportunities, and dedicated spaces for bilateral meetings, offering participants a chance to connect, exchange ideas, and build momentum ahead of the formal proceedings.
On 28 and 29 July, the Stocktake Meeting will convene Heads of State and Government, Ministers, and influential leaders and stakeholders from across sectors. Together, we will reflect on national and global efforts to transform food systems, identify opportunities for deeper collaboration, spotlight successful actions, and unlock the investments needed to drive forward meaningful and lasting change.
With just five years remaining in this decisive decade, UNFSS+4 will serve as a timely and action-oriented platform to sustain and accelerate the momentum toward food systems that are more sustainable, inclusive, equitable, and resilient.
Further information and logistical updates are accessible regularly via the UN Food Systems Coordination Hub UNFSS+4 webpage.
We warmly invite your participation and look forward to your continued commitment to shaping food systems that nourish people, support communities, and sustain our planet for generations to come.
