Hub Biennial Work Plan 2026-2027

Building on the foundations of its previous Biennial Work Plans, the 2026–2027 Work Plan marks a new phase for the UN Food Systems Coordination Hub, focused on scaling impact and accelerating country progress. It reaffirms the Hub’s mission to serve countries by coordinating and facilitating systemic, demand-driven, and customized support, while strengthening connections across partners, mobilizing finance, and advancing integrated solutions to drive sustainable food systems transformation by 2030.

The Convergence Action Blueprint guides integrated action on food systems transformation and climate goals through coordinated efforts with the government, UN agencies, and partners, aligning national priorities with global commitments under the SDGs and Paris Agreement.

In preparation for the UNFSS+2, the UN Food Systems Coordination Hub, in collaboration with the UN Regional Commissions and other regional partners, organized a series of five regional preparatory meetings. These meetings served as a platform for the sharing of experiences, good practices, and lessons learned in follow up to the 2021 UN Food Systems Summit and to invited to identify priority actions and key messages for the region, which are synthesized in this short technical report.

The Biennial Work Plan provides strategic direction for the Hub, setting out the proposed activities, deliverables, and result matrix of the Hub’s six key functions as well as the modalities to operationalize it.
